I, for one, thought the idea to be a positive promotional tool. The powers that be saw it differently. I respect their opinions, but respectfully disagree.

Dania Jai Alai July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest The 4th of July was set off with the 1st Annual Dania Jai Alai Hot Dog Eating Contest during the evening performance. Right around 8:30pm, 14 contestants attempted to devour as many hot dogs as they could in 6 minutes. Jai Alai fans and players watched the hot dog massacre. It surely was a spectacle and if you weren't there, we captured the event for all to watch. We also took some interesting snap shots of the event.

Dania Jai Alai: On the Other Side During my recent trip to Dania Jai Alai for research for our upcoming web production of 'Inside the Cage' (a documentary web program to show the game from a player's perspective), I was provided access to areas that would be off limits to anyone not a player or involved in player management.

While inside, I was able to see the game from a whole new perspective, one I hope I will be able to convey through this show. Most players I spoke to (early and mid gamers), are very personable people, which we have no way of seeing. If you look at any other sport, you can relate to the players somehow. Either because you played the sport growing up or because of the tremendous media exposure of the sport.
